The new machine, which combines the traditional MYDATA benefits of versatility and fast changeovers with a best-in-class placing capacity of 34,000 components per hour (cph), replaced an existing MYDATA MY12e machine. This had provided excellent results for EMS over the last three years, and had a capacity of 21,000 cph.

“The new machine fitted easily into the space previously occupied by its predecessor,” said Chris Mulvihill, Manufacturing Director of EMS RF & SS, “and installation was very straightforward. In fact, the new MY100DX is virtually a plug-and-play replacement for the MY12e, but gives an immediate increase in production capacity of more than 60%.

“Even though our new machine has only just been commissioned,” he continued, “We are already very pleased with how convenient and easy it is to use, and with the productivity gains it is providing.”

As an aid to financing the new MY100DX machine, EMS RF & SS took advantage of the generous part-exchange scheme operated by MYDATA.
